Sign-Up and Verification Process

Create account

Sign up with Google or Apple ID to create your Polymarket US account.

Choose a username

Choose a username that will be visible on your profile and linked to your account activity.

Enter personal details

Provide your full name, date of birth, and residential address for verification.

Verify identity (KYC)

Most users are verified automatically. If additional verification is needed, you may be asked to upload a government-issued ID and complete a selfie check.

Start trading

Once verified, you can deposit funds and start trading.
Most verifications are completed instantly. If manual review is required, processing can take up to 3–5 business days. You will be notified in-app and by email once verification is complete.

Why KYC Is Required

KYC verification is required to comply with federal identity and anti-money-laundering (AML) rules. These checks confirm user identity and help maintain a secure and compliant trading environment. You must complete KYC before you can deposit funds or trade.
